Calexico East Crossing

Does anybody have any first hand experience getting an FMT at the east crossing in Calexico/Mexicali? I'm heading to Loreto via San Felipe and have never personally checked in there. I've dealt with TJ many times. Thanks for any help.

Easiest crossing ever for an FM-T.

You can now take Highway 7 (Orchard Rd.) South from Highway 8 which is about 6 miles east of El Centro.

When you enter Mexico, stay right in the Declaration Lane, the building on your immediate right is Immagration. Pull forward going through the mini S turn, and park as soon as you can. Bank is directly ahead to the south standing by itself for payment of FM-T.

Make sure you get the 6 month FM-T.

Have a great trip!

HOw's that mini S turn if you're towing? Is it avoidable if you still need a migra stamp?

Thank You Baja Warrior that was exactly the information that I was looking for.

As tough as it looks as you approach it is not too bad. We drive a longbed crewcab and pull a 20' flatbed through there for Declaration and it's tight but do-able.

There is a lot further up on the right, maybe a quarter mile from Immagration, but your vehicle will be out of your sight.

Are you planning a trip Hook? Memorial Day Weekend?

I was, but now it looks like I'll be moving stuff to Nogales and San Carlos, respectively. The Big Move has begun...........actually taking a load to Nogales this weekend, too.

I was just curious for future reference.

Look for my buddy Eric and a bunch of other people down there with the owner of that place. Keep an eye on them; they're bringing down a bunch of newbies to Mexico and, truth be told, they arent real seasoned either. :smug:
