Soul, being severely challenged I just use the 10 numbers from the character map -- I keep em handy (near the keyboard/monitor). I talk so much about the weather I've actually learned to punch in 0186 for the degree mark on my XP. By far the easiest way for a clumsy guy like me.

For Mac users -

ñ - Hit Option key + n, let go of Option key, then type n, or whatever letter you want the tilde symbol over

¡ Upside-down exclamation mark - Option+1

¿ Upside-down question mark - Shift+Option+?

Hmmm.... so to have a degree symbol, it is 0186? º Oh !!

Great... that helps with posting GPS data! Hold down the Alt key and enter 0186 on the number pad, to the right.

Thanks from 33º 14' North, 117º18' West!
