"The San Francisco, California, man bled to death Monday after a gray shark bit his right thigh, leaving a 15-inch (38-centimeter) wound, the Guerrero state Public Safety Department said in a statement.

The attack occurred at the Troncones beach, about 45 minutes west by car from the beach resort of Ixtapa."

Well, the suspect is probably not the baby white shark tagged recently in SoCal--s/he is cruising the shoreline between Mazatlan and Culiacan.

It's very sad that it took the ambulance 2 1/2 hours to get to the site. Makes you wonder.....

makes me wonder where you read about 2 1/2 hours. report says he was driven to hospital in car.:P

Wow, and I thought the only thing dangerous about surfing the point at Troncones was the rocks.
