Have to make Margaritas out of that stuff. Self respecting bars won't even have that in the well.DENNIS - 5-5-2008 at 12:00 PM

Just trying to accomodate Roberto's preferences. I know it's his favorite.

1. It's Kesslers.
2. I haven't drunk it for years. I did for a while, but whoever is feeding you information is SERIOUSLY out of date - has a little fish been
whispering in your ear?. My drink is Jack, or Maker's Mark.
And Van -- have you ever had it yourself? It's quite smooth and works well with a mixer of your choice.

Good move up Roberto.
You eventually will move on to single malt scotch,"THE" drink to the initiated.Roberto - 5-5-2008 at 02:09 PM
Don't like scotch, except sipped in small quantities. Bourbon is my taste.mulegemichael - 5-5-2008 at 03:14 PM

up here in freezing washington state too, so that's the downsideDENNIS - 5-5-2008 at 03:49 PM

I'm spending the day recovering from the 3 of May at the Pyramid.Hook - 5-5-2008 at 04:16 PM
I'm joining a bunch from the college after work.
THEY want to go to El Torito Grill.
I was ready to point out what an Americanized place that is to celebrate a Mexican holiday...............then I figured, what the hell, it's perfect
for this "holiday' marketed to the US.
So, it's El Torito Grill for me...........

Isn't El Torito a high end Taco Bell?Hook - 5-5-2008 at 05:35 PM
I'd call it better than that. And ET Grill is supposed to be higher end than the regular ETs.
But, the last time I checked, no beers or shots at Taco Bell. 4baja - 5-5-2008 at 06:37 PM

It celebrates the battle of Puebla. That's in Mexico somewhere, right?bajalera - 5-5-2008 at 08:43 PM
Cinco de Mayo a Gringo-inspired holiday? Not really.
Frances Toor's classic Mexican Folkways [published 1947] gives five pages to this holiday, most of it describing a reenactment in elaborate costumes
of the Battle of Pueblo that was a big affair at a place called Penon (probably by now part of Mexico DF).
Never has been much of a celebration in La Paz though.Hook - 5-5-2008 at 08:53 PM
Who said it was gringo inspired?
I think it's foisted on the US by the marketing of the mexican beer and tequila companies.
Lor' bless em..........
hahaha!!
