So, they are just let go?

Bribery, extortion and racketeering and they are allowed to walk?

Well, with all that inside info on the workings of the police, I wonder who might be willing to hire them.

Well, it could be they let them go to see if they do link up and maybe they are under the spy eyes of the real undercover cops to follow them to their connections. Never say Never and in this fight on drugs, it goes as anything goes from day to day:?:. Let's hope something different is being done to bring these killers to an end. bajafun777

You honestly believe there is a connection between the narcotraficantes and assaults on motorists?

That to me seems counterproductive to their interests...

Not so. It's just a new income stream (the carjackings and kidnappings) now that moving drugs across the border has gotten a little tougher. Portoflio and income diversification.

What's made it easier is that there is no shortage of applications for the narcos to hire in Mexico- former police/military. They also recruit the english-speaking gang member deportees when they arrive back in Mexico- the USA dumps 2000 deportees a year off at San Ysidro alone. They have the high-power military weapons from the USA. They also get military type training from gang memebrs returning from Iraq to their old neighborhoods- and share their skills.

Today the Chief the whole Mexican Police was killed in front of his homne in Mexico City. He was hit eight times. It's gonna get worse.
