Dennis is just thinking that a $ 60.00 ice chest goes nice with your $ 14.00 an hour mechanic. What's wrong with that :?::?:
BTW is it gold plated :?::?: The ice chest that is, not the mechanic.

Sharksbaja - 5-10-2008 at 09:47 PM

Capt. George - 5-11-2008 at 03:39 AM

Paladin - 5-11-2008 at 08:56 AM

I thought the mechanic charged $15 per hour
Who cut his pay to $14:tumble::tumble:

backninedan - 5-11-2008 at 09:09 AM

Gringo discount

toneart - 5-11-2008 at 11:57 AM

There once was a woman with an ice chest
Who stayed as an overnight guest
I said with chagrin
"How chilly you've been"
And dear reader, you know the rest!

Now can this "smart ass" have a rim shot? Ba da boom; crash!

(All I can hear is a groan).

Sharksbaja - 5-11-2008 at 01:35 PM

Sure, why not. (groan)

Be careful though Tony, Garth could be the messiah.

ice chest is one of the new large igloos with an arched top that is supposed to hold ice for a week. it is used but in excellent condition. it will not fit under the thwart in my panga which is why i am offering it for trade.

I was going to post a picture of a new MaxCool Igloo MaxCold and ask you if yours was the same, but there's no photo posting feature on this thread, it seems.

Is it this one?

Taco de Baja - 5-13-2008 at 03:24 PM

Like this? List is $150US :o

The flat top white Igloos Costco sold for a while do hold ice for a week, if you cover them with a blanket and keep them in the shade.

Pompano - 5-13-2008 at 06:25 PM

That's the baby. I have one just like it for the boat, as do a lot of other fishing buddies.

The small top lid is great for grabbing a cool one and a sandwich, without letting the cold air out. Keeps things nice and cold in hottest weather and a heckuva deal at $60.

As for the mechanic garth mentioned in his other thread, I don't know him..yet...but I do know 2 older brothers in Mulege by the name of Camacho. Have for about 25 years. They are good builders and freighters..and genuine nice people. I have had a lot of satisfied business with them for which I paid a very fair price. If this young man is a relative, then he comes from a good family. He will have a chance to prove himself.

Yeah, you can use it as a bench too. That comes in handy on a boat where space is scarce.

From one busy tooting his horn,
we have a limerick verging on porn.
But the topic is ice
and not very nice
to change it abruptly to corn.

Best groan I could come up with fer ya.

Bruce R Leech - 5-14-2008 at 09:53 AM

I saw some of those yesterday. and that is not a bad price for it if it is new.

The thread didn't interest me until I saw how many posts were in it so I tuned and and am glad I did...I love poetry and conflict all rolled into one ice chest.....OK...now garth....how bout trading a night at the beach house for that baby...a deal for you...30%off! or maybe a fishing trip??? Juan could really really use one of those babies for all that YT he's gonna catch this summer.
