I will be driving to Cabo with one of my sons this summer and my other son will be flying down and then driving back with the two of us. I can easily
get the required papers in San Ysidro for myself and my son. My question is how easy is it to get those papers at the SJD airport and where to get
them. Normally, immigration keeps your immigration papers as you pass inspection and there is no where (or bank) to pay the twenty dollars. Has
anyone gotten their FMT at SJD airport or at the Mexican consulate (Is there a consulate in LA?)

The son who fly's down won't have any problem. He will fill out a tourist card on the plane. When he clears customs at Cabo, they take the top part
but he will also keep part of it. The $20 is already paid as part of the airfare. That should be all he needs.

If your son who is flying is under 18, be sure that he has a notarized letter of parental consent to travel. All of you will need to be able to show
your FMT's during your stay in Mexico.
