in a 2 day period last summer i found 4 of these spiders. also a scorpion spider. they eat termites. this kind is also shown in the site referenced
by diver.

The second photo is the Matavenado. There was a long thread about him last year. The locals in San Nicolas' will tell you that they are three times
as bad as a scorpion, but in fact they are non-venomous. One of these times I'm going to work up the anti-squeemishness to carry one around in my
hand, and become a local folk hero.
If I were a bug, this Whip Scorpion is the one I wouldn't to see coming my way.
