Beware when landing your plane at the Bahia Asuncion airport.
Airport looking one direction.
Looking the other direction
But there may be obstacles.
The Lobos Marinos, the mountain bike team use the airstrip for training at times. And if riding a bike is not hard enough, try this.
Yes, just tie a tire on a rope and hook it up to your bike.
So beware if you are landing.
Actually, a plane coming into this area is something that is noticed by everyone. There are just not that many.

Not many posts lately guys. Turning over a new leaf? Should be up to see you the first week in June. Will bring the family this time.fishbuck - 5-12-2008 at 03:33 PM
The tire kid is also the runway maintainance guy. He's smoothing the bumps!DianaT - 5-12-2008 at 04:03 PM
Stickers, it is a beautiful long runway. The windsocks are in threads, but that doesn´t seem to bother ones who do land. Everyone in town will know
you are here.
RTS, we may be in the states the first week of June but not for long. Hope you a family are around for a while so you can come and visit.

Well, it will be hot and dry at the air strip in the summer, but guarenteed to be nice in town. Lots of micro-climates around here.
We don't know a lot about flying, but the landing strip really appears clean from rocks and is quite smooth---a little soft maybe in a few spots.
