Going to Acapulco soon and want to drive down to Pto. Escondido. Does anyone know how many hours it takes?

Count on about 7-8 hours as it's a single lane and you will come across trucks just like in Baja. Also, Motoged, it's more like 250-280 miles not
kilometers. Careful to drive at night as their were a couple reported holdups I heard about when I was there last month. Daytime is fine though and
beautiful.

Thanks for the correction re: kms vs miles .
When I drove #200 outside of Zihuatanejo the highway was two lanes, but was not a divided highway like the cuotas.
Between Huatulco and Puerto Escondido it is also two-laned but not divided. I assume that is what you meant by "Single"

This brings back memories. I haven't been there since it got paved. Back in the 60's it was a very rough trail and considered very dangerous for
travelers as large stretches were under the complete control of bandidos.
