Bajagua Project Killed

fulano - 5-16-2008 at 10:26 AM

Friday, May 16, 2008 | The federal government killed the Bajagua Project Thursday, ending one of the region's most controversial infrastructure projects and leaving the U.S.-Mexico border region without a keystone plan to address Tijuana's lagging sewage infrastructure.

Fulano - as in fulano at baja.com? Anyway, if I were a Mexican citizen living in Tijuana, I'd be deeply embarrassed that the U.S. taxpayers would have to fund the city's sewage treatment program. It's kind of like your next door neighbor having to cut and water your lawn for you because you can't seem to get it done yourself.

Way to go Packoderm... great (and excellent) comment... are you becoming a conservative?:light:;)

By-the-way, when fulano started posting here, he was asked that same question about baja.com... he denied it.

like everything else my taxes pay for regarding mexicans.....i'm happy this won't add to the list.:?::!:

edit: perhaps when we move 12 million cubic yards of dirt into Smugglers Gulch for the border fence we can add s'more to dam up the tj river so it becomes more of a cesspool.:light:
