23ft Travel trailer for sale

El Camote - 5-28-2008 at 10:46 AM

1978 23 ft. Prowler travel trailer in great shape w/ upgrades: Solar panel, new toilet, recent roof resealing. Full width Rear bath w/ tub, fold down double bunk, two fold out sofas. Sleeps 6 in a pinch. Air conditioning and 3-way fridge work well.

New holding tank valve seals, new kitchen faucet, new roof vent replacement, new curtains. Counter tops and linoleum all in excellent shape. All work within last 6 months. We've owned for 10 years and stored under carport for 5 of those. Last owner stored it indoors for many years as well. Only used for vacation/ extra bedroom, never lived in full time. Lots of TLC evident. Love this trailer but have upgraded to a 32 ft.

Located in San Felipe. Can't seem to post pictures w/ ad so will email w/ u2u. For $1900. you're ready to go w/ a place to live or guest bedroom! :)

I think I might want it. When can I see it?

El Camote - 5-28-2008 at 08:22 PM

Hi Fishbuck,
Well, it's 450 miles from me now. Can I send you some pictures first? :o

BTW, the tires aren't in great shape. They hold air but I'd have some reservations about towing it back to the U.S.

I need it for my fish camp in San Quintin. So first to Ensenada and then to SQ.

Grab a couple spares, keep the speed down and you're good to go. If you're serious about buying, fish, we could set up a date in June and do the deal. I don't need much incentive to make another trip south!

BTW, for referals sake, DavidK and his kiddies have slept in this rig... we had the hazmat crew out shortly after.

Just kidding, David!

that's a good price Buck but don't even consider towing it without new tires on it. if it has set for any length of time even with low mileage you will have wall UV rot you can't even discern. a blow out on any of those roads SF to SQ will be very unsafe and a pain to address. for less than $320 you can get 4 great RV trailer tires and total peace of mind.

I have to defer to El Capitano. I have a pair of practically brand new trailer tires for my buggy trailer (which is also for sale) I would loan to the buyer for moving the trailer. It is a dual axle so another pair could be bought cheaply from a llantera or used tire seller. I'd hate to put 4 brand new tires on this to move it one time.

I'm a very flexible seller. :bounce:

i had a flat this winter on my water trailer...

i used my "very good looking" spare from my rv trailer (year 2003)...

the tire made it to town 10 miles before it "exploded":o:o

go with he new tire for transporting :saint::saint:

El Camote - 5-29-2008 at 05:57 PM

Not to belabor the point but I'm talking about new in 2006, used once approx. 500 miles then removed from trailer and stored indoors since. If that blows out with the next use, I'll chew the remaining shreds for gum!
:mad::bounce:;)

That was in 2001 for the first Matomi Gang President's Day Weekend Tour http://vivabaja.com/shell

A lot of Amigos de Baja folks camped at El Camote's place for our 2 days of touring that part of Baja (Sulfur Mine, Nuevo Mazatlan, Shell Island, Valle Chico, Matomi Canyon Oasis)...

In one photo you can see Camote's big travel trailer... behind my truck... sitting on the tailgate is elgatoloco, my daughter Sarah (who turns 18 this Sunday!), and El Camote...

For those of you who know my little family... here's Sarah and I on Father's Day, last month at Point Loma...

and with Christopher (19 1/2), at Balboa Park...
