i have a summer camp for kids, but in this past year people feel that mexico isn't safe, what can i do to help security and don't close my camp

I'm not worried for the security of the camp, because the camp is in a gated community, the problem here is that with all that had happen in tijuana,
parents don't want to send their kids to mexico. last year i had the camp full by may and this year is half way.

Methinks the economy and the price of gas may be a factor in the low enrollment.

I don't think things, economy, gas prices, border wait times, crime atmosphere are going to change much any time soon. You should try to design
your accomodations around the way it is. I hope you have memories of Baja as it was.

How about chartering a bus to bring the kids from San Ysidro to your camp... Parents could drop them off to you without driving into Mexico.
Of course, that will only satisfy those who are affraid to drive to Ensenada and won't help the others who think of Mexico as a dangerous, outlaw
nation where even the police can't be trusted.
Perhaps form an association with Keith Rolle of the Baja California Language College in Ensenada, who probably also sees a decline in business because
of the activities in Tijuana and Rosarito? http://www.bajacal.com

I so know how you feel. Our business is WAY down due to people being scared to travel into Mexico & the gas prices. Even many of our usual
church groups that go down to build are staying in the states close to home.
