Anyone fished there in the last couple of days?
Thinking about a quick trip for yellowtail.

Just got back - yellowtail were boiling at the south-west end of Smith. Some of the coves on the same side of Smith were holding a lot of yellowtail
at 60 to 80 feet - all those on iron or live bait. We caught 3 or 4 fish in an hour or so, trolling. The surface bite might be over - on Saturday
only fish were on jigging irons.
edit for spelling

fishbuck - 6-3-2008 at 10:15 AM
My guess is daytime temps in the 100s and nightime about 70-75.
I'm thinking water temps 65-70.

Steve-o: water temps from 63 to 66 within the bay. Animas about 71. We only fished for yellowtail at the south-west corner of Smith and off Barnabe
Rock at Animas. No yellowtail at Barnabe. Air temps climbed from 80 to 90 by the end of the week. Humidity about 50%. We did not go to the main
island this trip.
