My engineer buddy has a 1979 42' Californian LRC. He is just finishing up installing a fuel polishing system (his design) on board capable of
filtering large quantities of fuel. He is retiring within a couple of years so wants to be able to polish his own fuel on his travels into mexico.
He plans to home base in La Paz.
Is there a market for a mobile fuel polisher in and around La Paz area?

I also have a fuel polishing system aboard my boat, based in La Paz. I have not heard of any requests for fuel polishing service in the area. There
may be an occassional need, but I don't think the demand is great enough to justify a start up business. And then you would have all the hassle of
starting a business in Mexico.

On the risk of sounding behind the times...
What is fuel polishing?

Fuel polishing, in this context, is used to pass diesel fuel used in marine engines though a very sophisticated filtration system to screen out all
the algae and other organisms that are prone to grow in diesel fuel that sits in a tank for a long period of time. Those organisms can stop a marine
diesel engine in its tracks if they proliferate in the fuel delivery system.
