Are you going? I would! I've never seen Los Tucanes, but I'd love to.
We saw "Los Tigres del Norte" at the Chumash casino a couple of years ago, and LOVED it!
Have fun!

Ken,
Found a couple of You Tube vid of them, this first one is kind of traditional...
Could you perhaps explain what is going on in the video ?
Sign me,
Confused,

The Tucanes play "Narco Corridos" or "Drug Ballads", so the imagery can be reminiscent of 1980s Miami Vice films. The public enjoy hearing about
these stories, and this has made singers like Chalino Sanchez into a legend (for inventing the genre).
I enjoy the music, but watching the videos are tough, because art has imitated life, and the good times in Baja have changed so much because of the
drug trade. So, I also have mixed feelings about these drug ballads.BajaGringo - 6-12-2008 at 06:01 PM
I have heard that they put on a very good show. I was told this by a friend who only went to see them because his wife wanted to go and he normally
prefers other genre's. As it turned out he had a great time...DENNIS - 6-12-2008 at 06:14 PM
