This is how the pool at Yubay looks like now. There were a lot of tad poles and bees.
This is a shot from the sand dunes at the south end of Baiha Guadalupe. I always find it empty.

Osprey nest at entrance to Don Juan Cove - every year it gets larger.
Lots of these guys - this was an especially thick patch.
Everything was pushing flowers, leaves and new growth after the wetter-than-normal winter.
Huge Yucca (Century Plant I think) with many more in the background. This is in the El Desengano area.
Too much fun
I really noticed this trip how the desert seems very different just a few 100 yards off the pavement. The drive into El Desengano and Yubay was full
of micro climates and many different plants and birds, rabbits and chipmunks.

GREAT stuff Santiago!
I haven't been back to Yubay since 2001 when Mike Humfreville, El Camote, Desert Rat, Miguelito, my kids and I hiked in... It was July and HOT!!!
Here's travelpearl (Debra) who passed out before reching the historic waterhole... note the useless cell phone in her hand seeking help! Having a Viva
Baja sticker stuck to her chest caused us to pause on our hike back to the road!

That sleeping dog looks like JD. He is a very smart beach/camp dog.
