Advice for San Felipe first time visitors?

Down to Ensenada and cross over... from Rosarito for sure!

20 miles of winding over the hills to Ojos Negros, then lots of mostly straight easy driving and high country scenery...

The Pai-Pai village of Santa Catarina is 5 miles off the highway at Ejido Independencia... a Spanish mission was there... but vertually nothing remains at the site. See: http://vivabaja.com/606/page6.html

Try www.sanfelipe.com.mx for information like the weather.

It'll be on the hot side but you'll love the warm water. Shuffle your feet in case there are sting rays around.

We'll be there from the 19th until the 24th this month.

Ensenada way is very scenic, your going to like it.

My advice for visitors to San Felipe for the first time is that if you are going from July through September and have never been to hell in summertime, make sure that your accommodations have working air conditioning.

It has been known to get a "tad" warm at times.

Some friends went last summer and the hotel was having "issues" with their cooling system...

Would like to help .... but the last time I was in San Felipe was in 1965. It is probably a little different now.

To be succinct temperatures can exceed one hundred twenty degrees Fahrenheit. Toss in a bit of humidity and the sum equals a level that you may want to to keep abreast of via the internet weather sites before you commit to the trip.
