Very Cool for Mid June

Russ - 6-17-2008 at 01:43 PM

I can't believe this is mid June in Punta Chivato:

Looking at your gauge I would open the windows. It is cooler outside than in...

;)

Very observant! Every thing is open but we had a little sun for awhile so it warmed up inside a bit also the station isn't in the open. It's just below an East facing window.

Ah .. the Pacific

I don't call that cool . .. HERE'S cool! It's been foggy and downright un-June here at Rancho la Aguja on the Pacific.

Think we'll go into La Paz tomorrow just to remind ourselves that Baja is still out there.

Been in the 90's for over a month now in Fort Worth--and add some Gulf Coast humidity into that...sweltering...and no ocean...parched!

Bajaboy - 6-17-2008 at 06:23 PM

It's supposed to warm up in Asuncion....93 on Friday and 95 on Saturday....at least there will be a cool Pacific breeze....can't wait to be there in a couple weeks.

rob, I noticed your outside humidity sensor is out. I had problems with that too. Davis sent me a new one free if I sent the old one back within two weeks. On line they said it would cost $75 to $125 but when you talk to the tech by phone he'll send it out asap and no charge if you get the old one back to the quickly.

BajaGringo - 6-17-2008 at 08:52 PM

Rob, I think all of us (myself included) are paying more attention to the gauges than the original point Russ wanted to make.

Never know where a thread will go sometimes and you can even get help with a gauge repair done in the process...

But you are right - it is a cooler June. We hardly even open the windows yet up our way here on this end of the peninsula. It used to be that it would clear and warm up at least in the afternoon by now.

As my grandfather used to say, "Chili today, hot tamali!"

:P Sorry, couldn't help myself.

Dern and I are leaving Thursday for a trip on the Andrea Lynn. I've been checking the temps in Bahia to get an idea on what to expect out there on the water; in the 90s with 98% humidity. Yummy!

I LOVE the summer!

eeuuu-weee Miss Paulina! You sure you want to wear those new boots in that heat?

Paulina - 6-18-2008 at 07:02 AM

oladulce,

I'm thinking they will make for great water scoopers for when I need a dousing. Slip one off, lean over the side of the panga, fill 'er up, pour over head. Fuuuuun!

I can't wait to have to blow the sweat off of the tip of my nose!

No doubt,
July, August and September will make up for it.:P:P:biggrin:

"Only" in the high 90's here in Sacramento. Heading back down Friday. Can't wait.

The weather channel says it has been in the low 90's here but with the lovely ocean breeze, it has not gotten over 80 on my porch.
AND the water is freezing. Yesterday it took my breath away. I would guess that it is below 70, which for this time of year is cold.

Hey Russ, why don't you put a virtual camera on your Davis Stationa and we can tune in and get an immediate update all the time.
I have been freezin my --- off since returning to Colorado.

Russ - 6-18-2008 at 08:07 AM

Jim, This morning was the first calm one in something like 5 days. Lots of Chivato boats out trying to find fish for Saturdays tourney. Forecast doesn't look too promising though. Sorry no movie camera but ask and I'll post an up date. Sorry you're cold but at least you can see some trees.
