Geary's big 4th bash on Burro beach...(south of Mulegé)

Hot dogs and fireworks

Everybody wellcome...

Don't know if there is anything happening in Todos Santos for the 4th of July ....

Can't set off fireworks on the beach because the Sea Turtles are nesting and it scares them off.

So, I imagine it will be pretty quite here.

I'm getting out of dodge and burning off some frequent flier miles. Every summer weekend is a noisy 4th of July tribute where I live- so I won't miss much.

Shell Island sounds good! I should have some awesome lights for a night run installed by then! We'll see!

Ken Cooke - 6-22-2008 at 01:12 PM

I'm going Jeeping with the JustRuns 4WD club of San Diego. Our group is heading to Tecate to rendezvous with the Baja Crawlers of Tijuana where we plan to run trails that Saturday, and possibly Sunday.

Bajaboy - 6-22-2008 at 01:18 PM

Headed down to Asuncion next weekend. I plan on grilling some hot dogs and burgers, pitching some horse shoes and drinking a few beers.

Sorry to hear that. Just what the polar icepack doesn't need, more hot air.

I'm having a crazy idea!

I'm going to jump in my plane and fly to Bola. I'll fish and catch some yellowtail. Then I jump back in the plane and fly to B. Asuncion.
I was thinking of doing it in my truck but the driving would be difficult.
Anybody want to have a flying and fishing 4th of July?
I have a Cessna 182 parked at Brown Field in San Diego.

capt. mike - 6-24-2008 at 07:41 AM

way to go Buck.
wish i could join up. did you know the BBP is doing their BAM trip same weekend? bumming around Baja.
check it out you'll hook up with a bunch of great flyers.
i am in annual starting july 1.

Gadget - 6-24-2008 at 12:53 PM

bajadock - 6-24-2008 at 01:10 PM

For the 4th, hanging at my Pub. Will be testing the effects of condensation on beverage containers removed from frig and the resulting added humidity to local atmosphere raising the water level of Ensenada bay.

BAJACAT - 6-24-2008 at 08:58 PM

I would love to joing you Fish, but you know,CATS do not do good in hieghts:o

BAJACAT - 6-28-2008 at 10:12 PM

bump,,

vacaenbaja - 6-29-2008 at 04:57 PM

Fishbuck,You should try flying to San Francisquito and fish bigger yellowtail and white seabass 40 to 60 lbs as well as snapers
Water is FULL of bait, but contrary to last week the fish are on the chew as of thursday. You just have to be self contained on ice and other necessities as SF is poorly stocked.

David K - 7-1-2008 at 08:57 AM

Jose, are you going anywhere? I think we will be staying here, afterall.

BAJACAT - 7-1-2008 at 09:16 PM

David I will be going to Laguna Hanson for the weekend.Right now Im working on San Antonio de Pala Mission, we are installing water and sewer,in the reservation...

Packoderm - 7-1-2008 at 09:53 PM

Hollister Hills for dirt biking and camping. Baja is just too far for a short trip. If I could just click my heals and be in San Roque - I definitely would. I just tried it, and I'm still here.

Ken Cooke - 7-1-2008 at 09:56 PM

The trip to Tecate will be a day trip. I am also looking forward to a good meal afterwards.

GeoRock - 7-1-2008 at 11:34 PM

Yosemite Valley for me. Gonna raft the Merced River with plenty of cold Pacifico's. Hike off the beaten trail to get away from the crowds. Just enjoy the outdoors in a cooler environment than Baja this time of year.
