"We recognize the Baja Western Onion can't be all things to all readers nor do we want it to be. Basically, we're only interested in reprinting useful
community news, and not rants, opinions, criticisms or witch hunts. There are other venues, such as BajaNomad.com, that are better suited for that."

Hey! I resemble that remarkvgabndo - 6-28-2008 at 03:47 PM
While it is always, in my judgment, a good idea to have a solid understanding of my "average-ness", I recognize that there is also in me an
excellence. I judge that to be true of most of the Nomads. While we are prone to our rants and opinions, and average run-of-the-mill behavior, no one
can take from us the reality that when disaster strikes, when children need warm clothes, or bicycles, or when tourists are stranded, or Manolo was
hurt or Coco needed help, and so many other things, this group of (mostly) strangers stood up and did what needed to be done with open hearts, and not
just a few tears in our eyes. EXCELLENT!
The Onion may offer faint praise, but we only jerk each other around when there isn't serious work to be done!
I'm damned proud to be a Nomad.bajalera - 6-28-2008 at 03:49 PM
How beautifully put, Vgo!
Censorship
Al G - 6-28-2008 at 03:51 PM
I for one am quit proud of our respectful free speech...I know a few are not respectful, but even the 12 year old can be tolerated...as opposed to a
one man censorship or state owned media. The truth that is in our keyboards is that no one person can censor for his own benefit.DENNIS - 6-28-2008 at 03:58 PM

Like seeing Al G post after a long lay-off. Hi Al.
When in Baja, I have too much fun...so I post more when I am in CA. I think when a little of Baja new wears off I will post more, but that may be
awhile I will return end of July after my minor surgery. Good to hear
from you Dennissurfer jim - 6-28-2008 at 04:08 PM

So the Western Onion's characterization of BN is not a "rant, opinion, criticism or witch hunt?"Paula - 6-28-2008 at 04:59 PM
In the age of specialization, we've found our niche

To explore a village, fall in love with the culture, praise the good people and to get involved in many ways, including ranting about what is wrong.
Some rants are better than others.
Viva Baja Nomads!

In my opinion that rant is critical of this witch hunt! I think I covered it.
