Today I visited a new medical facility in downtown Rosarito. Dr. Elias Perales is the Head of the Medical hospital which offers several specialists
within the Hospital, their own lab and x-ray. Dr. Perales is well known in our local community and some of you may remember him from Baja Medic.
They are located about 5 blocks north of the Rosarito Beach Hotel on the same side of the street. The name of the hospital is Hospital Bonanova on
the second level and there is an elevator.
Their HMO program is $35.00 for an initial exam and $175.00 a year with a $15.00 CO-PAY. For each additional family member, the fee is $75.00.
They have their own ambulance and is available 24/7 and the fee for that is $145.00 to get you to the border with proper transfer to USA medical care.
Flu shots are available at $25.00. A doctor house call is $45.00.
It is important to have a "doctor of record" in Mexico in case you die in Mexico so you can be released to family, for arrangements.
