THEY HAVE CHANGED THE TURN OFF ENTRY TO ROSARITO & ENSENADA AFTER COMING INTO MEXICO AND THERE ARE NO ROAD SIGNS UP YET!
NOW .....YOU NEED TO GET IN THE LEFT LANE (NOT THE RIGHT LANE ANYMORE) AND I HAVE ATTACHED A MAP. THIS NEW ROUTE WILL TAKE YOU TO THE TOLL BOOTH
WITHOUT PASSING BY PLAYAS.
THIS IS DUE TO ADDING MORE BORDER LANES SO IN THE LONG RUN IT WILL BE GREAT.......BUT IF YOU'RE COMING IN WITH NO WARNING OF THIS CHANGE AND NO SIGNS
UP YET, WELL, IT'S A SHOCKER!bajamigo - 6-29-2008 at 08:49 AM
You may want to review this thread (it DOES have a map).
Yea, we took the "scenic route" after we entered on Sat. Ended up on the other road to La Gloria and then down. H.

Baja Gringo added a better map than the first one in that other thread. His map and directions take you right onto Avenida Internacional and avoids
having to drive through downtown.
I hope this works

I copy and paste this from the other thread from Baja Gringos post.
There is an easier way than going through Centro / Downtown. Stay in the 2nd lane from the right, keeping in the first lane right of the concrete
barrier divider from the Centro lanes and then take the first left access ramp which leads back to the Ave. Internacional heading west.
Here is a webpage if you want to bookmark a reference:
This route is a lot faster and less confusing than weaving through downtown. If you miss the access ramp on the left you will end up on the Via Rapida
heading east. If that happens, take the first exit off the Via Rapida, to Paseo de los Heroes, make a right and follow it down to the ramp to Rosarito
on your right which will connect to the same access ramp to the Ave. Internacional.sonoraed - 7-7-2008 at 09:31 PM
Can't tell you much this info helped!!
Went across at TJ thursday 5pm on my way to Popotla for a little camping,of the 50-60 cars that crossed at the same time only me and two others took
the road on the left, what a mess.
The next morning the guy in the space next to us said he crossed about six pm got lost and didn't get to Rosarita till one am!
Found a little store called Mercado Del Mar just before Popotla that has more kinds of tequilla than I've ever seen in my life! one big room no
windows shelfs floor to ceiling with every tequilla known to man!!BajaNomad - 7-8-2008 at 02:54 AM
