Vote for Moderator thread

Skipjack Joe - 6-30-2008 at 09:18 AM

The darnest thing. Whenever I try to enter the 'Vote for Moderator' poll/thread my internet explorer crashes. Has anyone had that experience? It's the only thread that does that.

Look at the little envelope on the left margin.....that thread's been locked!

Bruce R Leech - 6-30-2008 at 09:39 AM

well it looks like we have a new one now.:light:

I vote for Dennis and sharks

DENNIS - 6-30-2008 at 09:41 AM

He may have been refering to something more etherial.

I'm currently reading a book called "The Russian Revolution" by Alan Moorehead. A lot of similarities to this Forum.

Thanks. I didn't notice that.

Too bad, 37 replies and I can't read a single one.

Still, closing a thread should'nt cause the program to crash. Looks like a bug of some sort.

I'm currently watching a Felini movie and see many similarities to this site.

As I'm not able to replicate the issue - nor at this time am hearing anyone else is experiencing same - I'm led to currently believe it's something specific to your machine.

What that might be, I really don't know.

I was hoping Doug or someone more techie would respond!!! I was able to open the thread & saw the poll results, but none of the individual messages. Doug, did you remove the posts or are they suppressed when a thread is locked? I don't think they've been suppressed in locked threads before......seems like you could still read, just couldn't post any more.

DENNIS - 6-30-2008 at 10:53 AM

I get it all.

oxxo - 6-30-2008 at 11:05 AM

There have been 3 or 4 threads locked in the last couple of days. I can read all the posts including moderator thread, you just can't post anymore.

Skipjack Joe - 6-30-2008 at 11:08 AM

The ultimate irony:

The "Vote for Moderator" thread needs moderating.

Bring Gene back! That's my belated vote.

That's a repeated redundancy.

Probably 'cause some couldn't seperate fact from fiction and were getting nasty. The whole thing was nonsense.

If this was the criteria for locking a post some here would never see the light of day, don't you think?

Ken

By the way (just for the record), my vote is for David K for moderator. ;)

DENNIS for moderator! He knows the difference between fact and fiction! What he believes is fact, whatever anyone else believes is fiction.

(it's a joke based on ironic perceptions)
