We missed the best of our giant sunflowers when we were gone, but now I find it interesting to watch as they wilt and send all their energy into
producing seeds for the next batch of sunflowers.

That's a pretty picture Diane. It looks like Montana in October

Very interesting with those autumn colors. In Baja?

Very nice photo, Diane.
Do you have enough sunflowers to roast some of the seeds to eat - or you 'n John gonna scatter all those seeds, make Asuncion the sunflower capital of
Baja?
I'm surprised at how fast your sunflowers must have grown. Weren't they just starting out when last you left for the States? Those two bike team
members who watered for you must have done an excellent jog - really earned the helmets! Soon we'll be calling it the biking and gardening team.

Thanks---glad some of you liked the pix and the idea.
Nena,
We probably won't roast any of the seeds----we have promised them to several people. While there are lots of the smaller Mexican sunflowers around
town, it would be fun to see lots of these giant Russian sunflowers around.
We have several, and as long as we can save them from the birds, there will be LOTS of seeds.
We also have some more planted. And yes, they are in Baja
