Thanx for the tips. We settled on La Concha. Anthing else anyone can tell me about this hotel and this part of La Paz? Fishing and snorkeling are our
primary pastimes..anything we should visit while in that area or at that particular hotel. Also, where is the orphanage? Is there a mission nearby?

La concha has construction going on next door at the new condos and on the opposite side by the aquarium too. It a small beach and while awesome to
visit I would consider other options like el morro, los arcos, la perla as more serene while central now... and more paceno. A bus can take you to
Balandra and Tecolote, Todos Santos beach daily from el centro!

We just got back from La Paz and stayed at the Hotel Oasis. It is not a resort by any means, but it does have a couple of pools. The kids love it,
and the in-laws, and cousins, too. Rates are 300 pesos for a single, 400 for 2 beds. Works for us! Heather
