Here are 3 hotels. I stayed at Mirabel and it was all right. The parking was in a courtyard. There's also Manfred's RV park on the north side of town. I don't know if it's still operating but it's pretty good for an RV park, with lots of shade.

Hotel Conchita -- Centrally located with extremely basic rooms available. Rooms are upstairs. Place is pretty clean, not a bad deal for the price.... there just isn't anyway to watch over your car parked somewhere out there in the street. 113.20266 Ultra-Budget

Hotel El Conquistador -- Upstairs rooms also (there may be some on ground level as well). Everything I read said this place would be nicer. It's not. Basic, clean, drab, but slightly larger rooms with TV., a/c and bottled water (a plus). No off-street parking (a minus). Centrally located. 113.21555 Budget

Hotel Maribel -- Slightly north of the central part of town, but still within walking distance. Average sized rooms upstairs. Third level rooms cost less than second level, otherwise there is little difference in the rooms. Some are carpeted (old-time shag), some are tile-floored. Rooms have TV., telephone, a/c and bottled water. The hotel has a small parking lot in back that makes it somewhat easy to keep an eye out on your own vehicle (a plus). 113.20155 Budget

Manfred's has one or more rooms available and is under new mwanagement.
They now have a food and drink bar with a local cook that's pretty good.
The pool was open but not heated and the free wifi only worked near the office/bar/pool.

The Oasis is another choice, newer and dog friendly.
There is a sign for it one block past El Taste on the same side of the street
The last time we were there, there was a new hotel on a corner almost all the way out of town on the right side going south that looked interesting but I dont recall the name.

The very best RV park is Palapa 206 which is at Kilometer 206 just south of town. I would never stay at Manfreds after being burnt there one too many times, even if it has changed hands I would have a hard time.

Not a lot of shade at Palapa 206 and no pool.
Do they even have any hook-ups yet ?
We drove in a few years ago but went on the Manfreds.
Manfred could be a jack-ss but the new management is much nicer.

Palapa 206 has little shade, but it can be had...I parked next to the pump house once. They do have full hook-ups and very nice showers and toilets. I thought this was about Motel/Hotels...they no rooms here.

Thanks for the replys. Would be nice to have the car next to the room. What are the casitas at Manfreds like? Any other options?
thanks brian

Here is the last phone number I have for Manfred's;
Phone: (011-52-) 613-132-1103
The manager speaks english very well.
I think they have one casita and also rent room(s) in the main house.
It looked like they may have been adding a casita when we were there last February.
There is no need to worry about security at Manfred's; the whole place is gated.
