Speeding Ticket-How to Pay-Who To Call

lp2578 - 7-15-2008 at 08:53 AM

I recieved a speeding ticket over the weekend near Ensenada and the Federale (who was very professional) pointed out the website where I can pay online. The page does not come up for me so I tried the numbers which I can't seem to call from the U.S. Any help and direction would be appreciated, Thanks

ssp.gob.mx

I then click on the link which is located on the right side of the page titled "Pago De Infracciones" and I get IE Can Not Display the Web Page".

i can't get it to open either. go find a cop and explain. ask him where you can pay. if you're home already i'd forget it until next time and do it then.

edit: i'm using firefox so it's not an IE problem.

Just got off the phone with the office in Mexico City and it is a pain to pay this. Apparently it can only be paid in a Bancomer. But before you go you have to go to an automated system in order to get a numero de captura, numero de conviene and a numero de concepto. Apparently the online system to pay is down and may not be in use for some time.

Paying ticket...

lp2578... you can pay the ticket in any BBVA Bancomer bank in Mexico. In order to do that, you need to have a deposit slip (The Federal Police website calls it "Linea de Captura") which is tied to your speeding ticket.

You can get the deposit slip in any Federal Police office in Mexico, presenting the ticket the police officer gave you or, you can also get it online on the link lencho gave you (http://pfptpiiweb01.ssp.gob.mx/LinCap/lineacaptura.jsp).

As explained before, once you have the deposit slip, just present it in any BBVA Bancomer bank and pay it... that is all.

If you live very far from the border or if you do not have any trip planned soon to Mexico, get your "Linea de Captura" and e-mail it to me... I would be happy to try and pay it for you in any BBVA bank here in Tijuana.

Good luck,

Thanks for the offer to pay. I am actually heading down to Ensenada today. At least now I know what all those numbers represent. Question: Is the bank that is located at the San Ysidro crossing where you pay for your FMT's a Bancomer?
