5 months to go till im back in san jose....im preparing already.....sighDianaT - 7-31-2008 at 04:17 PM
The nice thing about being retired and going back and forth as often as we do is we get to enjoy the best to two worlds for the length of time we
choose---most of the time.
It saves us from the fever----but the dogs? Well that is another story---they so much prefer the Baja home all the time.
DianeDiver - 7-31-2008 at 04:31 PM
who's got bajafever?
I do.
Since I drove north out of Baja about 18 years ago after my first time long-term camping down the peninsula, the only times I have NOT had Baja fever
is during the times that I have been there !
I've got it so bad that I've even thought of moving to California (g-d forbid) just to be closer.
4 1/2 months and counting ....... see ya then !bajajudy - 7-31-2008 at 04:34 PM

Who doesn't??? (here on Nomad)Russ - 7-31-2008 at 09:38 PM
I don't! ~~~~ I took the cure.~~~~~ Now the only fever I get is having to go North once or twice a year and if IRS would go away I'd be totally
cured.Sharksbaja - 8-1-2008 at 01:04 AM

with only warm lakes to swim in...I haven't touched Baja terra firma for a year now and all my buddies are going next week without me...no, sorry

Only one week until my Baja fever is cured........although it has been spared from becoming a full blown Baja flu by recent day trips south of the
border. Can't wait!Bajajorge - 8-1-2008 at 09:52 AM
Leaving last week in October for a 2 month stay in San Felipe. Only 2
months cuz Grandma has to see the grand kids for Christmas.bajaguy - 8-1-2008 at 09:56 AM
where are you headed, Jeff????BajaGeoff - 8-1-2008 at 10:55 AM
A friend of mine has a house in Erendira....and is also the manager of a baseball team here in San Diego. A few years ago the baseball team started
going down to play against the local Erendira baseball team and then do a big fiesta afterwards. A bunch of people from town cook an entire pig
amongst other culinary treats. It is an amazing time!
how it works...
eetdrt88 - 8-1-2008 at 01:41 PM
you venture far enough south in baja and then venture down dirt roads that you have no idea where they go and then end up in a place thats very
pristine in its lonesome beauty with waves that are made just for you....do this a few times and and you will have an addiction far stronger than
sex,drugs,alcohol,money.......why,i'm not quite sure although i have a few ideas but one things for sure the famous "baja fever" is an affliction that
only those that have been there can truly understandBajaGeoff - 8-1-2008 at 02:22 PM

i just bought a 3kw honda generator......thinking of cantavina.....big cacti, big rocks, tacos, pacifico, sunsetsRuss - 8-1-2008 at 06:45 PM
Dr. Tom, Please be wary of robbers around Catavina. Sorry don't want to worry you unnecessarily cuz this isn't first hand info. Just an FYI and have
fun, take a lot of photos and enjoy the ice cold beer.Osprey - 8-1-2008 at 06:52 PM
I've got the fever for good. 13 sweltering summers, each one wetter, better, sweatier than the last. This southland squatting place is like my own
little petri dish to languish in, swim in, play in, grow gnarly green and spongy in. Moving backwards is not popular but it can be a lot of fun.DrTom - 8-5-2008 at 07:29 AM

thank you.....not staying there long, just gonna use the generator there a night. Ive got my guard dogs.....Roo the geriatric golden is amazingly
fierce but what he lacks in mobility the miniature daschund, Pirate, makes up in stealth crotch strikes.....no kidding.....seems to be some kinda
breed trait or something...Taco de Baja - 8-5-2008 at 09:15 AM
10 days, 20 hours, 18 minutes, until my cure arrives.
Or I should say until I arrive at my cure
Can't wait, Baja here I come.Cypress - 8-5-2008 at 10:31 AM
I've recovered from a serious case, there's always the possibilty of a relapse.
Can someone build-up a permanent immunity?oxxo - 8-5-2008 at 12:32 PM
Here's the official cure for "Baja Fever."
Brother bought a Pacifico, he bought it for a dime
His sister had another one, she paid it for a lime.
She put the lime in the Pacifico, she drank them both up
She put the lime in the Pacifico, she drank them both up
She put the lime in the Pacifico, she drank them both up
She put the lime in the Pacifico, she called the doctor, woke him up,
And said, "Doctor, ain't there nothin' I can take,
I say, Doctor, to relieve this Baja ache?
I say, Doctor, ain't there nothin' I can take,
I say, Doctor, to relieve this Baja ache?"
"Now let me get this straight ",
Put the lime in the Pacifico, you drank them both up
Put the lime in the Pacifico, you drank them both up
Put the lime in the Pacifico, you drank them both up
Put the lime in the Pacifico, you called your doctor, woke him up,
And say, 'Doctor, ain't there nothing I can take,
I say, Doctor, to relieve this Baja ache?
I say, Doctor, doctor, ain't there nothin' I can take,
I say, Doctor, dooooctor, to relieve this Baja ache?'
Put the lime in the Pacifico, drink them both together,
Put the lime in the Pacifico, THEN YOU FEEL BETTER,
Put the lime in the Pacifico, drink them both up,
Put the lime in the Pacifico, and call me in the morning
Wouh wouh wouh wouh wouh BajaGeoff - 8-6-2008 at 12:48 PM
Nothing makes the work week go slower than a Baja trip starting on Friday......DianaT - 8-6-2008 at 02:27 PM
Was supposed to be on the road right now! Went to babysit grandsons the other night----watching a Wiggles DVD with the four year old, and having fun
dancing with him.
Out of shape and did head, shoulders, knees and toes one too many times,
My back is in no shape to travel for a couple of days.
SOON
