To all Posters that may be interested in an old Original AAA Map. of BAJA California which has a Number of 2011.
There was some discussion in the Past and it appeared that theses old Maps had Value:

I bought this Map in 1967/68 I will sell this Map for a $100 Gift to the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children.
Anyone interested I prefer to deal through David K.

When traveling down the Baja peninsula in the 60's, the Auto Club peninsula map was very often seen on the inside walls of rancho dining rooms where meals were served to the rare traveler on the old Baja main road.

Here is the lower left corner of my 40+ year old copy of Map #2011. After our many trips from '65-'68 I used a marker pen to show the roads we had traveled...

Again, the route (main road) that we trraveled in '66 is marked. I penciled in a couple roads out towards Bahia Tortugas that the Auto Club did not yet travel/ map.

Good info on the old map. There was actually a modest amount of traffic on the old road, although this wasn't noticeable to most Gringo travelers because they were moving too.

We spent three or four weeks camped out at various places along the road in the '60s, and a few Mexican truckers and fayuqueros (traveling salesmen) passed by in either direction nearly every day. Also met several several U.S. botanists and geologists doing field work.

It's amazing the detail on that old map.

Howard Gulick's 1962 Baja maps were great... See them all in full size here: http://biology.fullerton.edu/biol517dje/maps/baja_1962.html

I bought the Map to use when Flying into Baja. There were no real accruate Maps for Pilots until Senterfitt came in and produced his first Book on all the small Strips.
Airports of Baja Calif. Fifth Edition copyright 1969

Will also sell that copy for $50 Donation.
