6 volt batteries

cnelsoni - 8-7-2008 at 04:36 PM

Hi, Anyone out there who can comment on the best place in the states to purchase 6 volt batteries equivalant to the Trojan T 105 golf car batteries. Last set of 8 lasted 5 years so I am inclined to go with the Trojan again but ...ouch...135 bucks apiece now. Heard that some Costcos have an equivalant cheaper. My local Costco does not stock them. Comments please

i bought two last winter for a friend

i think they were $140 each

costco in the states does not carry them
i read the same post and was looking for them at costco too

try http://partsonsale.com
they will have a good price and you'll get fresh batteries

very few places will carry them "in-stock" unless you go to a RV store
then...you pay more

Sam's Club in Yuma carries a equivalent battery.

Batteries have really taken a jump in price this last year. Lead is incredibly expensive.
Even though the AGM glass mat batteries are double the price of a regular battery, they last four to five times longer. Most high end RV's have them installed.
Here are two sources for the batteries, and AMS ships them for free. I just purchased some from them.

The batteries I use at my Beach House came from there. Great service and extremely clean store.
