Changes in Bahia Asuncion

Leave the town for a couple of weeks, and things change--

Someone decorated our fisherman statue in the middle of town.

:lol::lol:

Didn't last long.

And new signs appeared!

Yes, we know it is the law, but it has been ignored here ---we wonder how well it will be enforced. Right after seeing the sign, we saw two trucks on the beach. :o

Good to be back.

well, another change from the last several months is that TIMO JUST CAUGHT THE SEASONS FIRST YELLOWTAIL!!!! and the 2nd and the 3rd etc etc...they cleaned up on real big calico, a bunch of bonita and around half a dozen YT...FINALLY! dAng he's lucky...he kept saying he was gonna get the first one and he DID>>>yummm sushi tonight!
I think that the no vehicles on the beach sign was put up just for the fiestas as there are lots of beach events and kids everywhere...pretty sure they come down after the fiestas but I could be wrong....they put em up last year too and took them down afterwards.
That is Chico's bike...good place to park it...he's the skinny guy who sweeps up the sand off the road every day.
I'm surprised you didn't take a photo of the new big store close to you guys Dianne...great that the tecate is even closer now!!!

The rules are for other people and do not apply to people who actually need to drive on the beach like fisherman or maybe a fat guy, or lets say a family who needs to carry camping stuff. Rules are for other people, obviously.

Yes, we knew who the bike belonged to---sure someone did it as a joke as it was gone the next day.

Don't remember the signs last year, but do remember that it was the only time I have seen the police tell people not to drive on the beach and that was when the horses were there.

Actually, it would be good if they did enforce the no driving on the beach, IMHO, but that may be in the future.

Glad Tim had good luck and glad the yellowtail are here.

Oh new store is big, but like most that open for the first time, there is very little in there. I do hope that Jesus Manuel is successful as he has worked long and hard to be able to build that store.
