Had so much fun with all the pix in the through the windshield thread, thought I would try another one.
UNUSUAL self-portraits in Baja. Now, this does not mean just you posing in front of something and using the self-timer, what do you have that is
different in some way.
Hope to see lots of photos ---- Here are mine taken on this trip down.
OK, difficult to find me, so here I am!
Have fun!

Couldn't come up with anything from Baja right off the bat but will keep looking. In the interim, here is one from Barcelona....dt

Diane,
I like the idea of this thread. I can't think of anything I have on my computer to post at the moment, but I'll work on it.
Great photos, hope to see more contributions.

Paulina,
I know you have some great pictures of you and unique items, but now go out and take one of yourself that is unique----I know you can do it!
DianePaulina - 8-13-2008 at 01:12 PM
Diane,
I've been slowly downloading photos from this summer's trip to the laptop via our neighbor's wireless, which we've fondly labeled "The Palm Frond
Internet Cafe". We can only capture the signal if we balance the computer on the rock wall behind the house, directly under the palm tree. Looks like
this:
So far the only self portraits that might fill the bill that I've come across while downloading photos, only shows a small part of the story;
My feet doing the clam dance two weeks ago in Don Juan Cove in Bahia de Los Angeles;
And my hand as it's about to treat my mouth the most delicious breakfast I could ever want...a fresh oyster, right off of the rocks.
Palm Frond Internet cafe signing out!

Bajadogs,
Priceless photo of childhood. Wind, pinwheel, Barnum's cookies. Absolutely love it.
Fun thread, lets see more!

GREAT---GREAT, it is really fun to see what people will shoot in a reflection---
OK, maybe not just the unusual self-portrait, but other reflections also---love them.
More?

Hey, that is a SPECIAL self-portrait!

... That is not just ANY toilet nor ANY ol' time, it is in an Alaska Airlines' jet, just prior to landing in Los Cabos BEFORE emptying my bladder for
the first time* ever in my life in Baja California Sur!
* I do that regularly in Todos Santos, BCS, now, but I don't ALWAYS take pictures... like dern**

Looking back at where we were! Shell Island, low tide...
One of the joys of adding Baja miles to the odometer
vgabndo - 8-16-2008 at 10:25 AM
is seeing Woody's picture with Betita and saying..."Oh yeah, I know where that is." A beer has seldom tasted better than after motorcycling there
from the Sea of Cortez!
My reflection turned out fuzzy in her dead and drying eye.

Interesting to see all of the pictures REFLECTED in a mirror, or something else that reflects light.
Was that fish alive? Maybe if it was alive, there might have been more light in its eye. :-)

This is a photo gallery 3-fer: thru the windshield, self-portrait and TS Julio. Last Saturday on the highway from Todos Santos to La Paz. It was a

Nice photo----but what a terrible mess it shows.
Hope things are repaired quickly.

Yup, that was Baja Angel and I in Feb., 2007 after driving north from Gonzaga Bay and the La Turquesa top end expedition which started the excitement
to re-open the old mine road... Congrats to Nomads 'The squarecircle' and 'TW' for doing it!
Shell Island was our last night... and it was a windy night!
Looking forward to a nice long weekend back there!Sunman - 8-27-2008 at 08:26 PM

That's a great line for a macabre poem, vgabndo.
