RSVP REQUIRED so we know if we are on or off. Open invitation (no children please, dogs welcome) for Happy Hour and snacks starting at 4:30 p.m., Friday, Aug 29, 2008 at our home in Rancho Packard circa de la Punta Banda, Maneadero, La Bufadora & Ensenada. If you'd like to turn it into dinner - BYO to put on the BBQ and we'll provide the sides, booze, non-booze and maybe some ice cream...or if I have time, tres leches cake. Your RSVP is required by 8/20 (that would be Aug 20 or 20 Aug) so we can make plans accordingly. THE MORE THE MERRIER!

And maybe I'll make up some of the prize-winning salsa!

If all my grand plans go correctly, and sometimes they do, mi Bonita Novia and I will be staying at the Estero Beach hotel at tha time for some much needed quality time together.

Count yourself in, Dude! The rule here is that Nomads are always welcome...this will just be a bit more casual! We'll have eats and drinks for sure...but if anyone needs directions, just let us know via email or u2u. One caveat....must love dogs because we have 3 that love YOU!

So to make it official, Friday 8/29 remains an open invite to all Nomads and Nomadwannabees...4:30 in Rancho Packard located halfway between Maneadero and La Bufadora...

but we'd still appreciate an RSVP so we know how many to...expect?

My girl was happy when I said some of my friends were fluent in spanish.
It's funny because she used the word interperet and I use the word translate.
I can translate what she says but sometime I need help interperating what she means.

Wow, I just got offered to go fishing in San Quintin on Saturday. So I may need to leave the party a little early so I can drive down Friday evening.

Okay I'm back from Colorado! And I leave tomorrow for a little North Baja vacation.
It will have many highlights but one of which will surely be the BB2005 Happy Hour!
Can't wait for Friday! Hope to meet lots of friendly Nomads there.

pictures will follow tomorrow from bajamigo. thanks to everyone who came and brought things although the instructions were BRING NOTHING. Great to meet those of you we haven't met before and great to see again those we see regularly but in yet a different setting!

For those of you that missed it, you truly did miss out on a great international cultural experience!

Sirenita made out like a bandit! Fishbuck brought her a bed frame, BajaSedoso brought her a computer table, and we gave her some area rugs. These things, along with all the great stuff AwfulArt gave her, are making her little house a home!

Well, BajaSedosa, now you know you ALWAYS have a place to stay! With some notice you might just end up as a dog sitter for a weekend though most times we do try to take the critters with us. They love to travel and check out new places!

It was great to meet you and we're so curious to learn about today's "cooking class" that you signed up for!

That was one fun party! Thank you to BB2005 and Bajamigo for the invitation and throwing such a nice party.
All the Nomads and other guests were very nice and very interesting to talk to. That was great entertainment for sure.
Special thanks to Dorbaja for acting as "interpreter" for Jovanka and me. That was a big help as we are still learning each others language, in more ways than one.
Jovanka had a great time and really liked everyone.
Hope to see you all again.

PS. I left the party a little early and drove to San Quintin to fish the next day.
I caught a 20lb Dorado and an 6lb Calico bass. Both the biggest of each species for me. It was great!

PSS. I was disappointed the DENNIS wasn't there also.

Dogs AND Baja? Two of my favorite things, I am game.
The cooking class was great, we made ceviche, fish taco's (baja style), salsa verde and chilaquiles - yummmmm. Edith was great and she remembered the two of you fondly.
