this is a friend of mine here in Scottsdale. he has boats shared ownership. not cheap but compared to the cost of owning a machine in these classes it might make sense if you want to just show up and fish conveniently.

Looks interesting. Seems like anything worth doing isn't cheap these days.

ya got that right Bucky.
for $450 a month flat rate plus gas when you go i'd call that a bargain. And only $300 a month if you put in $10K up front.

owing a boat solo like any of those in his fleet would be a min $1000 - $2000 A MONTH before you got to some of the incidentals

capital cost of boat (purchase and/or interest lease), insurance, storage, cleaning and maintenance, staging in and out, ............wow.

I wish he had a few planes parked at Orange County or Long Beach.
I get promos from Cirrus and some other. The buy in is very expensive. But what a sweet machine.
I'll be lucky if I can buy myself an old Piper 140. Still better than driving. An cheap to operate(relatively).

look for a mid 60's vintage cherokee 180. cheap to buy, maintain, fly and insure. reasonably fast. flew one around baja for 5 years early 80s. great memories. perfect for 2 but 2 couples can ride pretty comfortable too.
get a 1/2 partner - less than any SUV
