Stated a November 2008 opening target
Can hardly wait .... as it will put some pressure on City Club.

The land is cleared and construction has started. We will keep our City Club membership and not join Sams club, it does not replace City Club for us.

I welcome any new commercial choices in La Paz - although I think the Cabo COSTCO and HOME DEPOT have been great disapointments - still whenever we
are forced to visit Cabo, they are must-sees.
We didn't bother renewing our City Club memberships as we could never find anything worth buying.

I was in Leys yesterday which is just down the street from the new Walmart, and it has been refurbished and the veggie section was great and good
pricing. It seems they are getting ready for the competition.

And did you know Walmart was paying their Mexican employees in coupons that could be redeemed at their store? This was just ruled illegal.
I only recently started shopping (and only occasionally) at the Walmart in Ensenada. I go there now only because they have a pretty darn good

We made a run to La Paz yesterday (Friday) and made the new Wal Mart one of our stops.
Must have lucked out as there was easy parking and although the store was active, it was not overcrowded.
Many prices comprable to City Club, and although the vegetable section looks really nice, it is a little high priced ..
