It is a good deal, but it is not the new Invertor Series, so it puts that one potentially many years old, although, depends on how much it was run...

I have the 1000iu and the 2000iu and they're both great generators. I'd like to get the 3000 as well, although they just came out with the 5000iu model, looks pretty nice...

The problem with the 3000 is that it takes two people to move it. It weighs 134 lbs. But it is actually quieter than the 1000 or 2000, as I recall.

If you have one 2000, consider getting another and buying or making the connection cable between them. I hear it effectively give you about a 3.5k generator.

I am using a Yamaha YG-2800i. Not quite as quiet but it "only" weighs 66 lbs. 60-67db.

that's only a 1000 watt unit and its an EX series

the eu series are the newer quiet ones

the eu2000i is about $1000 and can be "stacked" with another

you can stand right next to a honda eu200i and barely hear it:light:

noise is the key:light:

it also will run all night on a tank of gas
important when gas is $4.50 a gallon

a 2000w generator is not big enough to run the air on your trailer...we have the same trailer

3500w just barely runs it...
5000w its fine

i love my 2000i EU.
if daisy chained to a second unit it will run a small AC.

i didn't know about the 5000i guess it's new? i will check it out for a permanent built in one for my future campo.

This is my setup. 2 - 2000i. Same db's as a 3000i at full power, at 1/4 power, the 3000i is -5db's quieter.

I use the Parallel Cable ($200) like the picture for 4,000 watts (33 amps). The 2000i has an ''idle down'' switch and the engine is so quiet you won't know it's on -- from a short distance. They ''power up'' when power is needed. The Parallel setup allows plugging in a 50 amp cord (through a 30amp connector) -- and the 4,000 watts will power my 50amp motorhome, including microwave. The gens sell for about $800 each at Wise.com.

I did consider the Honda 3,000i but it was too heavy to maneuver alone. (I took one off a shelf at Camping World and had trouble getting it back up.)

We are running a Honda 2000 to power an entire house, including a LG 3.5 amp Fridge with bottom Freezer. In addition to the fridge we can turn on any or all lights (fluerescent) and all ceiling fans (6, all energy stars) or any window fans, plus TV and Stereo. It has enough power to supply all mentioned.

I bought an extended run fuel tank for it that is 6 gallons plus the 1 gallon the generator holds. I'm getting about 9 hours a gallon on full load. I built a generator room inside of our garage, so we don't hear it and neither do our neighbors.

The cost was right at $1000 dollars versus $15,000 for a more effective solar system tha we currently have. (Need more panels, batteries are shot, invertor is too small) I fugure a generator a year.

Oh ya, I bought a second Honda 2000 and run each every other trip, that way I always have a running backup.

I also have a Honda 1000 as additional backup and a Honda 5000 for the microwave, power tools, and compressors.
