oh, heck! I have a couple of minutes right now so here you go. This will take place at La Bufadora Tequila Bar and Grill (first restaurant on the right, before the shops, as enter La Bufadora). Saturday, October 4. All proceeds benefit our local volunteer Fire Dept. If you aren't up to competing against us, come on and join the tasting!

1. Pork ribs to be cut into 2 inch lengths (except for the three that will go to the judges.) This is so everyone will get a taste.

2. 10 # of ribs to be cooked.

3. Judging will be based on sauce and texture.

4. Precooking, if desired, can be done at home, otherwise, ribs are to be cooked on site.

5. Furnish your own grill and means of making heat.

6. There will be 3 judges and they will judge anonymous ribs. (We have sworn each rib to secrecy as to their cooks.)

7. You can begin to set up on site at 10 am, judging at 3pm.

8. There is NO entry fee.

9. There is only ONE winner.

10. There will be $1.00 fee for tasting.

ALL PROCEEDS WILL GO TO PUNTA BANDA VOLUNTEER BOMBEROS.

tsk, tsk -- now we are a shoe-in to win! I think we have a Nomad team: Bajamigo, Bajabound2005, Beachbum1a and Bajaguy. But....we may end competing against Bajaguy!

Well, Diver, maybe you can make the chili cook-off next summer: tentative date is July 18.

Due to a lack of competitors, the cook-off is cancelled/postponed. On the other hand, we were declared the winners as the only entry...and we didn't even have to cook!

You missed your chance, Doc. We served them up 124 people at La Sociedad's Rib Feast last week (you were noticeably absent) -- that's when people decided not to enter the cook-off! They knew they didn't stand a chance.
