Can you post a few pictures of the site and the amenities including river access for a boat.

Is that in the park run by Roberto Saucedo?

toneart - 9-17-2008 at 12:22 PM

My posts defending against the maligning and continuous taunts against the Mulege river people are being removed, while the taunts are allowed to remain. My last post was protesting "Whalemeat's" remark, second from the top of this string.

We have been accused of "whining" whereas, nothing could be further from the truth. Our river community has worked tirelessly, without complaining, in the cleanup after the Julio flood. Those of you who had read my last post in this string, would probably agree.

Others in the Nomad community have properly identified the most offensive of the posters who ridicule us for having homes along the river. Many clues as to his identity has slipped out. I can confirm that it is indeed him. He gives a different name and hides behind an Avatar.

He sent me a threatening U2U, and then my post was removed. This new-breed culture is being allowed to run roughshod over veteran Nomads.
Is this fair???

Chris Holmstead - 9-17-2008 at 01:48 PM

Toneart,
The person you are accusing of being someone else has been a friend of mine for over fifteen years and I have been a guest in Bobs home in Loreto and Cabo before that. I have to wonder why you are trying to discredit someone who only disagrees with you on your choice of living location. If you need more clarity on this issue. Please u2u me and I can save you even more embarrassment.

No, it isn't. This place is changeing, Tony. Maybe that's the nature of these forums, constant change. I was thinking this morning of names we don't see anymore. Lots of them. I stick around and post a lot because it's easier than doing the things I'm supposed to be doing and I don't have a network of people to hang out with. That's my design so, here I am.
It seems a lot of folks leave out of disgust and that's a shame. I have a feeling you're on your way out for that reason as well. I've been thinking along those lines too. Sometimes the nonsense, and I know I'm as guilty as anybody, just gets tedious. Some of it is so senseless.
I don't know. I've said enough.
Whatever happened to Bernie?

Thanks, Dennis,

We have always had fun with our posts.

I do miss them and all the missing Nomads. The culture has changed and it is being condoned.

In the past, I had stuck up for the right of the moderator of a private board to use their own discretion. That was when they were removing posts from those who violated board rules.

Now, it seems, they are discriminating rather than discerning.

:)

Toneart ur absolutely right

Posts that shouldn't be deleted are and the ones that are just plain bad, especially the personal attacks are left standing. It's Bias and Prejudice, what can we do about it.

Shark18 - 9-17-2008 at 04:19 PM

Last night I read the post from toneart that was later deleted. It was most definitely a personal attack. There is no doubt about it.

Chris Holmstead - 9-17-2008 at 04:26 PM

Its pretty simple.Do not use this site as a venue for unwarranted personal attacks. It seems toneart has become what he claims to despise here. A hit and run troll because his feelings have been hurt. These complaints have been around for as long as this site has been up and some of the older posters who have since left were some of the worst offenders.I can think of a few.
Search your memories.

toneart - 9-17-2008 at 05:12 PM

OK Newbies who have just signed on. You have taken it over. You got it! You can have it!

My posts have been defensive in response to attacks. Hell
yes, I'm angry!

Fighting Mother Nature is something we have done, twice now. It is evident now that it has intensified, worldwide. We can't leave. We aren't "rebuilding. That is not required. We clean up, cooperate with each other, and do so without "whining", as I have been accused of in the same U2U that threatened and then got my post removed.

Several Nomads have empathized after both floods, John and Julio. We gave descriptions of what the clean ups entailed. We were sharing what it was like for our Nomad friends who asked. Of course it is trying on the emotions but nobody that I can recall complained or whined.

We are not stupid as the multitude of attackers have insinuated. We do what we have to do. There are no options. But why do some have an agenda to ridicule and make us feel badly? Why would you do that?

We have enough to deal with without having you guys piling it on. That is all I have "whined" about. NOT the clean up itself.

This is tiresome. You bad guys are tiresome and I have become tiresome. I like to feel good. Who needs you guys?

What do you expect when participating in a radical right wing forum. Go back an analyze the posts of most of the BAJANOMAD ELITE.
