I think Gecko is in love...

Barb, you should have brought one home from San Roque, Todd & the kids found our little dog pretty much dead on the beach (she still was a puppy), I nursed her back to health and she is now a dual citizenship dog!!!!

lovely picture of the golden, we have one to!

We are gonna keep our eyes open this next trip down for a pup to bring back home. We always had the proper papers for Arlo but were never asked to show them when crossing the border.

Any problems getting the new family member across Gypsy? It would break my heart if we had to abandon it. Couldn't handle that.

Barb,

I've adopted two pups from Baja. Each time we visited a local vet for shots, mange control meds, etc. The vet knew we would be crossing into the US, so he made sure to give us receipts and documentation showing exactly what shots were given.

Both times I wasn't asked to provide the paperwork when I crossed, but it was reassuring that I had it should it be requested.

Good luck, I hope a pup/dog finds you.

Barb we had no trouble, we made sure she had all her shots, and we had documentation, and off we went!

Barbareno
Let me know if you get down this far south. I almost always know someone fostering a dog for adoption. I will be more than happy to help you find a new friend. Baja rescue dogs are THE BEST!

Brit, dogs are man's best friend. With cats you're just staff.

Usually the coyotes do a pretty good job of that. I'm not a cat hater, but unfortunately that's usually the case. We don't see too many cats on our travels unless they're of the indoor variety, or feral in which case rarely if ever can they be socialized or domesticated unless captured as a kitten.
