Robert, my north-of-the-border visit has had to be extended, which unfortunately means I'm missing some of La Paz's better weather. On the good side, I've had time to read the three books you suggested and consider them a worthwhile investment. Your perspective is a refreshing change from Dunne, Englehardt (sp?), et al., and you even use "convert" instead of "neophyte" (which always strikes me as unduly pretentious).

As a minor quibble, though, I think those graphs that look like fringed rugs should be sent back to the drawing board. If you expect people to use them, the years need to be marked off in intervals of five, or at least ten, so they don't have to be counted off one at a time.

Thanks for referring me to these books.

Graphs

Those graphs were done on a plotter on a mainframe at Berkeley 20 years ago. I am now using excel, which includes the dates. I am glad you have enjoyed reading the books.
