Cleaning Product Alert....BAM

bajajudy - 10-12-2008 at 04:19 PM

I saw this product advertised for mold and mildew and thought that I would try it.
I have dark blue tile and grout in my bathroom. Well, I did have. Now I have striped blue and white grout.
It says to rinse well and I did and I have and I will continue to until my tiles dont look like I havent washed the soap scum off in a decade and my grout is back to blue.

Is this BCS enough for you, caboron?
Sorry I couldnt resist:P

Q: Can EASY-OFF BAMŽ Multi-Surface Power Cleaner be used on every surface?
A: The EASY-OFF BAMŽ Multi-Surface Power Cleaner formulation should not be used on natural marble, stone, terrazoo and may dull galvanized metal, polished or anodized aluminum, metallic or painted surfaces, colored grout and some fiberglass surfaces. It may streak colored plastic laminates used for countertops. Avoid contact with wood, fabric and wallpaper.

How bad is it that I'm so over some of the threads on the Nomad board that the thought of asking you to post pictures of your grout actually passed through my brain?

There's moldy grout and moldy posts....Hmmmm. I'm kinda worried about myself right now.

Maybe it's just me, but I'm not sure what the message is here. Is this a good product or a bad product???? Inquiring shower scum needs to know.

bajajudy - 10-13-2008 at 08:46 AM

Allow me to expound
Ladies
I normally dont wear my glasses in the shower;however, one day last week I did and was astounded to find mold in the corners of my shower. I thought that I should get rid of it...........fascinating, eh?!?!?!?!
Guys.
You ASSUMED that I did not read the label, which I did, but not one of those words that are in your warning were anywhere to be found.........WHY because I live in Mexico and the label was in Spanish. However even the Spanish said nothing about colored grout
Jo
If you have white tile and grout, go for it but I would still rinse very well. I wound up bringing a hose through the window to spray it down real well.

Ok we have beat this dead horse to death.
RIP

elgatoloco - 10-13-2008 at 03:58 PM

I think I heard on the internets that this is the stuff Emeril uses to clean his kitchen - BAM!

The Gull - 10-13-2008 at 07:33 PM

...and somehow this post belongs on a Baja Discussion Board?

bajajudy - 10-14-2008 at 07:02 AM

Ok
Get up on all fours, Mr Ed so I can hit you again

Gull, the main reason I posted this was that I thought that it was a Mexican product and thought that people, who might clean their grout and who live in BCS, might want to know about these problems. I did not know that it was even available in the USA:saint:

bajajudy - 10-14-2008 at 07:12 AM

BTW, Diver
Thanks for the BAM email but we have got to stop meeting like this.

BAM BAM BAM just so ya know...I really appreciate this thread as I just bought some BAM and NEVER read labels these days and have dark grout which I would have used it on...so this has been one of the more valuable baja threads the last few days...after "Snorbert"...of course....thanks Judy

The Gull - 10-14-2008 at 08:06 PM

We haven't had enough of the board space taken up with BAM. We need more on BAM.

Where are the people who gave us the 300 uses for WD40? What are the 300 uses of BAM?

vacaenbaja - 10-14-2008 at 09:35 PM

OH! Bam!! ugh?
