I'm already tired of this winter wind! Since Norbert we've had 10 to 35mph N ~ NW wind that hasn't let up. Sand everywhere and in everything. At 5 this morning it was 66º now 76º Time to restart the hot water heater and close some windows and think of June temps again. How soon we forget the high temps and humidity:wow: And I suppose long pants aren't too far off either. I know what causes all this wind and cold. It's all those Notherners coming back that creates a vacum (sp) and pulls the cold dry air down. :light: It's hell when you climatise (new word?) and you're cold when it's in the 70's. And this shall pass too:light:
Edit: On the bright side, NO bugs! and I can do some things that I put off and not drip onto my projects. Just had a 30mph gust.

Tis a mite windy...so when the weather is a lemon...

...make lemonade

Current Coyote weather:

Bright skies, 5-10mph winds. Was 70 degrees at midnight...great sleeping temps after 90 degree high-humidity nights. Still 70 now at 7:45 a.m. Going for bay ride.

All in all...a good morning.

You guys are getting off easy. 55 degrees over here this AM. The "Santa Anas" actually got stronger in the night for a while. Calm now, but it's supposed to last for at least another day.

4baja - 10-14-2008 at 06:47 AM

19 degrees here at the cabin west side sierra sunday. bring the santa anas on.

dtbushpilot - 10-14-2008 at 07:07 AM

26 degrees yesterday morning here in NW New Mexico. I'm sick of wearing long pants. Leaving tomorrow morning for Buena Vista with 2 cats and the dog......should be an adventure. I'll try not to drive too fast so that I don't suck the cold down with me......dt

Try putting the Pacifico down before typing. Works for me.

We'll be heading down soon now that it's cooling off a bit in the evenings. Linguine and I have a very narrow comfort range.

C'mon Bob, Susan, and Russ. Holy cow, I woke up to 2 inches of snow, the pond in my front yard was frozen, and I have at least 3 layers on and am thinking of adding a fourth. I look like the kid in South Park and kind of waddle around the house while putting more wood on the fire. Sheesh, and you guys think it is bad.

Russ - 10-14-2008 at 11:36 AM

It's howling out there today. Right now 25 to 30. Send some pics of the Mitchlin Man. We could all use a good roll on the ground!

Ok...No Complaints.....Here on the beautiful Olyimpic Pennensula in Quilcene, Wa. its been down to high 20's at sea level, and if that isn't bad enough, we have already had a slight snow dusting as well. Very odd for this early in the year. ++C++
