Just get a ten year import permit. See the port captain or go to the aduanal office.

I've been there done that. You will need more than an import permit. You will need visas for all the crew, proof of Mexican liability insurance,
etc.
Just go to the Marina Cabo San Lucas office. We anchored out off of Medano Beach and took the dinghy in. They will direct you to a clearing agent
about one block away. The agent charged me about $40 to take care of all the paperwork. Take crew passports and 3 copies of a crew list and boat
documentation or registration. I went to the office, filled out some forms, gave boats papers, gave them some money and was out of there in 10
minutes. They said come back in two hours while they ran around town to the Port Captain (the office is not close to the marina), bank, immigration,
aduana, etc. We went and had lunch and returned in two hours. Everything was ready to go. We dingyed back out to ALOHA and we were off to La Paz.
No muss, no fuss.
