Daylight Savings Time

MexicoGringoGuy - 10-26-2008 at 11:30 AM

OK I'm Confused.. Did we go back an hour last night or not? My Palm Treo says we did... but everything else says no.. I did research online and it seems we did a week earlier than us, and that we will be an hour behind San Diego for a week.. is that true? Does all of Mexico do this too??

Sorry for my ignorance!

Thanks

You are not the only confused one!

What time is it?

All of Mexico except Sonora changed back to Standard Time this morning. The US except Arizona will change back to Standard Time on Nov 2nd.

Well I guess my Palm Treo really is a "Smart Phone"..lol because it at 2am sent me a message asking me if I would like to change to the correct time.. BUT when I try to change on my computer it goes back to US time.. I even checked a few sites and they say tj time is an hour ahead.. SO.. all my appointments in SD next week are going to actually be an hour earlier... oh crap..lol

I think we fell back an hour last night ...so ummm...does this mean I have to put this bloody ceasar in the fridge for an hour?

Thinking you might be using Windows, have you tried setting the time zone as "Tijuana, Baja Calif."? When I ran a test, it seemed to work.

Ever since I can remember Daylight savings time has been from the first sunday of April to the last sunday in October, and this is because Baja California was the only state that observed DST. Now the entire country exept Sonora has a time change and it is called "Horario de Verano" and it is as it alway was, April to October.

No, Tijuana is now an hour behind.
Yes, you're appointments will be an hour earlier if you go on Tijuana time.
For this week only if it's 9AM in Tijuana (example) , it will be 10 AM in San Diego.

OK.. finally... I was really off for a while... and I am usually pretty good with DST.... Got all my stuff updated... Just another thing to make the time change to Acapulco even harder to adjust to in a week or so when I go...
