While this is clearly real estate driven with a lot of fluff, there is some excellent information in this new publication. It covers Rosarito,
Ensenada, San Felipe and Punta Penasco. There are maps of each area in each edition, a yellow pages directory, and some great tips for rookie and
veteran visitors (and full-timers) alike. You can read the whole thing on-line. http://issuu.com/mexicoliving/docs/edition18-nov08?mode=embe...

Interesting, on page 7 it states that you need a temporary import permit for your vehicle below Ensenada/San Felipe.
It's always been my understanding that such a permit is not required for all of Baja...losfrailes - 10-29-2008 at 08:00 PM
There is no permit required in Baja. Only if you cross over to the mainland do you need this permit.
However, what do I know?David K - 10-29-2008 at 08:34 PM
A case of a writer talking about doing something he never did?
The peninsula is a special region of Mexico that does not need a car permit.gringorio - 10-29-2008 at 08:51 PM
I find it sad that it is 'real estate driven' ... What about Baja? tjBill - 10-29-2008 at 09:11 PM

That's an understatement.
Nonetheless, they have a nice online edition. Thanks. geobas - 10-29-2008 at 09:35 PM
Sheesh. I looked at it. It's a magazine for Americans living in Baja that shows them how to avoid doing any business with Mexicans and just patronize
other American expats.David K - 10-29-2008 at 09:37 PM
Sounds like it deserves a big Nomad thumbs down!bajabound2005 - 10-29-2008 at 10:01 PM
I'd suggest you contact the publishers. They are very open to comments!
