Sunny Silhouettes

DianaT - 11-3-2008 at 01:06 PM

John took these in the bright sun and I like the results. I call them the sunny silhouettes.

They were both taken on the beach in front of our house, but the one almost looks more like the mountains.

Nice pics! Almost looks like mountains and you did a little photo shop rework.

Thanks ---but what do you think is photo shop?

I always adjust the levels a bit, but nothing more---it is the original picture.

The one with the dog and gull looks surreal - cool photo.

It's hard to shoot into the sun, most of my back lit photos are garbage, but here's one of a friend of mine surfing that actually turned out OK.

Diane, I didn't mean to infer you did use photoshop. Only that if you took a picture of a mountain you could have dropped your dog and the bird on it with photoshop. I like the photos.

That is what I thought when I downloaded it for John on to the computer. That is one reason I liked it so well. OK, I am married to him, but I really was impressed with the effect shooting into the sun.

Also, I know my dog and exactly what she has on her mind. lol::lol:

Love first light silhouettes---nice one, Bill. And Big Woo, that is a great surfing shot--bright light and all.

That surfing shot is amazing! It does indeed look like the gull and dog are on mountain tops! Great pics

Russ, I love your addition to the photo.

You are far more talented with photoshop than I am!

Gee Diane, if I think of your first photo as a mountain peak.... that dude on top must be Birdzilla! And hey, there are some nice clouds in that second picture.;D:biggrin::dudette:

Thank you for sharing your recent photos with us. It's alway fun to see 'em.

Yikes, let's say that is a tall mountain peak and that is Birdzilla, that would make my little Maggie Mae Dogzilla----and anyone who knows her crabby personality at times, would not want to meet the morphed version.
