Has the new bridge been completed? Or is the old way (circling to the left) driving along the border up the hill towards the toll road the way to go?

We crossed last week and the bridge seems to be repaired (or whatever they were doing to it!)
No more detour!

When we crossed last Tues there was a huge traffic line up which seemed to start on the other side of the bridge. Took us 30 min to merge and slowly
crawl towards what we thought must have been a bad accident or road work. As we approached the bridge there were several policia directing traffic
and several other gentlemen supervising a lone worker who was painting the inside wall of the bridge
(with a smallish paintbrush I might add
)
We had a good chuckle and realized we were now back in Mexico

Back to normal as of Saturday. Lots of road works (reduced to single lane with big drop off on side|) about 1/2 way to Ensenada. Major road works,
across both lanes(!) about 1/2 way between El Rosario and Catavina.
