it's getting colder day by day here in mulege
i think we are too used to the "heat of summer" 
it's 69 degrees this morning...outside...burrr
week before last when i was in ensenada
i found a new heater at home depot...
$1490 pesos ($115 usa)
propane and ventless
i bought several...the cashier looked ay me kinda weird
i think we'll be warmer this winter

i'll wave at you today as we are headed to Loreto from tucson for fuel then on to constitucion. today i have 3 U of A medical students on board for
Flying Sams duty.

Bob. Nice addition to your units/your home for this coming "cold spell" where in Mulege it will get down to 47 degrees several nights in January.
Good timing. Are you getting any closer to getting electricity brought out to your community? I'd think by now there would be enough homes out there
to warrant having your community bring it in????

69 degrees?! We've had 38 degrees and still haven't turned on the heater....

They say your blood gets thinner in warm regions? I know in La Paz all the small dogs must wear sweaters in the winter and the social set enjoy the
chance to wear full length coats, hats and gloves? brrr 69 degrees

Having spent decades south of the border and having built a couple of homes I have learned the importance of using the elements to your advantage when
building. Here on Baja's western side the sun is your friend in winter and the Pacific ocean air in summer.
IMHO the best homes have a lot of glass and sun exposure from southeast to southwest for the cooler months. This will warm the interior during the day
and then just a small space heater for an hour or two in the evening/morning and an electric blanket will keep you warm at night. During the summer
you need open windows on both the north and south sides of the house to allow the prevailing NW Pacific breeze to ventilate and cool the house with
window shades on the west side of the home.
It has worked for me for many, many years.

We have had unseasonably hot weather here the last 2 weeks although it is nice and cool in the evenings. I had to put 2 sheets on last night but it's
ridiculously hot today again....wish I had a fancy weather station so I could report temps...maybe tiomiguel will bring one down for christmas???
