MICK - 11-7-2008 at 07:03 AM

Wondering if anyone else will be at SI this weekend. We will be going with a group of friends for sat. night. If your there we are the two White ford F350s.
Sorry we can't make the get together in town but I wouldn't want to drive back late.
Have fun where ever you go but be safe
Mick

You picked a good time to come. We are in the midst of a 3 day wind event. The winds are supposed to diminish tomorrow. Are you the same Mick that we met at the Pyramid and knows Ed Bair? If you are, we can hook you up if you are interested. Rob

Corky, if it was my island, I would still want all the Nomads to enjoy it with or without me... I have always shared it's location and beauty! I have been camping on Shell Island for 30 years now, and it is still as beautiful and unspoiled as the first time!

Mick, have a great time!

Rob, looking forward to seeing you and Connie again... Hope you had fun in Oregon for the summer!

See that 4 mile long, skinny barrier island? The north end is opposite Rancho/ Laguna Percebú and just to the south is Bahía Santa María (15-20 miles south of San Felipe).

For those with 4WD or a dune buggy/ ATV, the access road is at Km. 26, just over 3 miles south of the Percebu road on Hwy. 5.

Looking south, as we head north from the access road on the island:

Looking south, as tide heads out:

Near the north tip... see some of the Percebu homes in the distance?:
